  • Typically doesn't paint large at home because of the limiting size of the loft. Prefers doing giant canvases, though. ATHLETIC PAINTING STYLE, AW YIS. Paints bigger in camp because of the gym + spare time to construct the canvases.

Dude friends (Jet) have been dragged into helping her carry things.

  • ONE OF THE SAD THINGS SHE DOESN'T THINK ABOUT EVER: how the fuck are these getting back home. Nooo abandoning paintings nooo :(

  • Used to be ridiculously on top of documenting her work (borrows camera or random photographer who probably lives in her building) and answering calls for art. NEVER GOT ACCEPTED TO THINGS, her work is way too weird for group shows (in her area because clearly she doesn't live in LA) (fuck you nyc art scene!!) and she's too new and not innovative enough for solo shows, nor is she Bob Dylan.

  • Bob Dylan's music has been tainted by his shitty paintings forever. Noser understands :(

  • Is no longer ridiculously on top of documenting and submitting work. STRAIGHT-UP DOES NOT HAVE THE TIME, and this is a sucky thing about work that she makes faces about during off hours when she isn't at work or has to do dumb brainstorming or paperwork.

  • "Abstract Expressionist" but not... really.... Not Jackson Pollack-y at all, respecting Kandinsky's stuff, but more like the more modern people. Illustrative stuff (Tuba ep), Will Eisner.

    also ZDIZY.

  • The final gesso X on every painting reminds her of Hanna and probably always will.

IF HE EVER WANTED TO HELP HER ART i guess this is the part she'd let him do?? But would also be concerned that he would kill himself with the gesso somehow so.

  • USED RABBIT SKIN GLUE IN CLASS ONCE, loved the hell out of it, can never use it again because bunnies

  • Alternates between acrylic and oils, likes acrylic better because colorssss and it's less time consuming, been using oils in camp because what the hell else does she have to do. PROBABLY USED OIL FOR THE ZOMBIE BRIDE, acrylic for the gorilla, oil for the final MM painting??

  • Art crawl isss probably bi-monthly?? "One month we hung bras from the ceiling." CAN'T BE MONTHLY, way too much work.

  • Took a sequential art course or two for funsies and because comic nerd, but doesn't have the patience or flexibility of draftsmanship. Also her classmates were big 2 snobs and indie comic hipsters.

  • Watches Work of Art: The Next Great Artist with Conrad. DEFENDS THE PERFORMANCE ARTISTS but it's hard, they're all so weird!! Spends most of it going THAT'S SO DUMB but loves it so much. Rooted for that one pop artist last season.

  • Most of her jeans/shorts have paint or fake blood on them now. WHATEVERS.

  • Cannot have movies or tv shows playing while she paints. TRIED IT DURING FINALS ONCE, it's a terrible idea. She wants to watch the movie even if she's seen it a hundred times!! Has to stick with music, become accustomed to listening to hipster acceptable indie music but sometimes branches out with classic rock or a Disney song.
